Diabetes Group Visits
Share your experience of developing a diabetes group visit. Include your "messes" and "successes"--they will help all our members better implement group visits in their practice.

I ran a very well attended group visit on disturbed eating behaviors in patients with type 2 diabetes last month. The meeting was fascilitated by myself and a CDE/RD provided by Novo Nordisk. We had 18 patients in attendance. My staff performed the vital signs, listed their A1Cs and most recent labs upon their arrival. Charting was done following the meeting. We found that this group visit was not only very informative, but also financially rewarding. We'll be doing another group visit on advanced insulin pumping in December.
